prophesized twins born to a lost coven of shetona witches, dilon and demetria grew up as most normal shetona children do. while their coven didn't nessecarily follow the same nomadic standards present within most shetona, their rules were as rigidly gendered. children who developed female were raised to control The Weave (what the coven called dynamis), males were expected to protect the coven from outsiders and were never allowed in, except during times where children were to be produced.dilon and demetria were unusual, girls born of no father and their mother, iris, the girls were believed to be meant to save the coven from the prophesized rejoining of alexandria. that was until, dilon hit her coming of age. at the age of 13, dilon was revealed to have developed male. refusing to be ousted from her coven and live in a way that was inauthentic to her, she ran, permanently damaging the coven's protective barrier with her grief. demetria followed, refusing to let her sister go alone.the two girls traveled tural, crossing the border to xak tural and staying with a mamool ja couple. the girls used the monsters in the mamook forest to hone their connection to the weave, no longer having the guidance of their coven mothers. a man, name erased from history, found the girls during a travel across tural and found their abilities exceptional to witness. back in thanalan, he ran a small academy of exceptional children, those who had stories similar to dilon and demetria. despite demetria's reluctance, dilon's enthusiasm made demetria agree.at this academy, the girls were given their names, dilon and demetria. their coven given names became nothing but a forgotten mist, and they became tied together, having names that began with the same first letter and the same last name as the man that was utilizing their powers for greed. the academy wasn't truly a school, but a well-dressed commission bench. the children of the academy went on "assignments", which were unreported dangerous hunts and commissions.in this period of her life, dilon met sanchir, an au'ri boy around her age, who saw her light for what it truly was. the two fell in love, and even agreed to leave the academy once they graduated and marry one day. this would not last.dilon and sanchir went out on what they deemed an uneventful hunt, going to slay some wolves found around a nearby, unbeknownst to them, the station had been attacked by voidsent, carnage in every inch of the station. the pair tried their best to fight off the creatures, but sanchir ultimatetly fell, leaving dilon a ball of grief waiting to explode. once word of their danger spread, all the other academy students, and demetria, found was a knocked out dilon, a dead sanchir, and the mangled corpses of voidsent, deep gashes covered in pink magic before they faded to aether. demetria rushed to her sister, trying to see if she was okay. however, before she could, the academy headmaster grabbed her and the rest of the children, pulling them away and forcing them to go with him to ishgard. he was desperate to avoid punishment for his crimes, and didn't want to be found out by the uldah'n government.demetria was trapped in ishgard, the man not letting the students of the academy leave. he fnmiooanitr reddctea ofr eth atfyse fo all ondivvl.e oiavd ngooilk hrrfute nito rseda'time h.risotythe girls moved to gridania and bought a house in the lavender beds. dilon had always wanted to help people in any way she could, and chose cosmetology as that way. people are at their best when they felt beautiful, and dilon intended to help them feel that way as best she could. she started offering reduced-cost and free services to those in need, and even began making products for those that requested them. with the help of a friend, she was able to make her products highly customized.one day, the twins recieved a letter from a woman in tural. this woman was their mother. she wanted to invite them back to the coven, hearing of dilon and demetria's travels. dilon was unsure if she was ready, but wanted so badly to know more about her heritage. she and her sister packed her bags, and sailed back home. before they could finally revist their home, the rejoining that was fated to happened, happened. now, the girls have to grasp with their new brother and the destruction and rebuilding of their home.
